I volunteer as an Art & Crafts Teacher at the WOW Center, a nonprofit community hub. I design each craft, gather and prepare all the materials, create prototypes, and lead a monthly art class for seniors. This month, we crafted holiday gnomes using upcycled socks, rice, hot glue, and yarn or faux beards. Each craft is designed to be both challenging, helping to develop core motor skills, and enjoyable, allowing everyone to explore their creativity. Ultimately, it’s a wonderful space for building friendships and fostering community through creativity.
